Gathering up:
- Following the Firefox and Thunderbird new releases, I’ve come across portable versions of these two tools. Both Portable Firefox and Portable Thunderbird are removable-drive friendly applications, both stored on a compressed package and fully enable (most extensions and plugins supported). Each of these take less than 10Mb on the removable drive (an USB disk, for instance) and are the ideal tool if you’re stuck somewhere with another browser or for a quick demonstration of the Mozilla applications.
- SQLinForm is a SQL code formatter and beautifier (requires the latest Java Runtime Environment).
- Half the world is still looking for G Mail accounts. Isnoop.net designed an automatic GMail invite spooler. People with available invites send them to the spooler’s address (gmail@isnoop.net) and it automatically adds them to an available pool. People who need addresses can then get invites from this pool, as necessary. The numbers are impressive.
- MoreGoogle is a single, 30Kb DLL which enables Internet Explorer? users to enhance their Google navigation. Perhaps the most useful feature is the ability to display site preview thumbnail images next to search results. In Mozilla Firefox, this can be achieved using this extension.
