My girlfriends iPod had the same problem. She already has a new one, so i thought "what the heck!" and I worked! I have the iPod working again as I type this!</description>

		<description>Well what do you know - my 4G iPod Photo was replaced by Apple about 15 months ago. It died 13 months later and I've left it sitting in a drawer knowing its cheaper to buy a new one than send it for repair. 

I gave it a good thump off my 5 year old's 200 page colouring book last night and, hey presto, its back up and running !

		<description>I would suggest getting a copy of the disk recovery tool SpinRite (see http://www.grc.com/sr/spinrite.htm). There are so many great testimonials I think it is safe to recommend this tool. It sounds like the iPod is on borrowed time.
