AdBlock is a content filtering plug-in for the Mozilla and Firebird browsers. It is both more robust and more precise than the built-in image blocker. AdBlock allows the user to specify filters, which remove unwanted content based on the source-address.

AdBlock has proven to be one of the best plugins available to date. If you’ve recently moved from Firefox 1.0.x to Firefox 1.5 and noticed AdBlock stopped working, dont’t panic. Just uninstall it, re-install the latest version and try again. If it doesn’t work, go to the AdBlock Development Builds download area and get the 0.5 d3 nightly 40 build. Works like a charm.
