a geek landmark, to say the least

Had a very interesting talk by lunchtime about how fscking lucky I was to bring out a USD 1000 DSLR and roughly the same amount in misc. geek items from the United States without getting caught by customs back home (while a friend of mine had to explain very carefully and very slowly the laptop he was carrying had been on his hands for quite a while, was from his company and he hadn’t bought it at Uncle Sam’s). There was a brief mention on my recent history of customs incidents when buying cheap stuff over the internet and soon after, we entered the usual “there’s a lot of cool stuff in the United States we’re never gonna lay our eyes on” chat.

A few hours later, I had a very pleasant surprise. Matsu kindly provided me one piece of one of those things mentioned by lunchtime. Here it is, ladies and germs, my very first box of Altoids:

Now all I need is to figure out w h i c h h a c k am I going to waste on this one…

There are plenty more boxes where that one came from! :-)
